2026 Property Tax Notice Update Following recent public discussion, Cartwright-Roblin Municipality would like to clarify that the Early Tax Statement Pickup Program was introduced as an additional customer service initiative to provide taxpayers with earlier access to their tax statements and additional time to review and pay their taxes while qualifying for the early payment discount. In accordance with Section 302 of The Municipal Act, tax notices are being mailed to the mailing addresses shown on the municipal tax roll. Most notices will be mailed on August 21, with a small number following thereafter. Participation in the pickup program was entirely optional and was never a requirement.
Council has now adopted By-law No. 105-2026, extending the 1.5% discount on current tax payments to September 30, 2026. This amendment recognizes that internal circumstances and provincial timelines affected the timing of the Financial Plan, Tax Levy By-law, and the printing of 2026 tax statements, resulting in tax notices being received by the Municipality later than anticipated. As a result, Council determined it was appropriate to provide taxpayers with additional time to qualify for the discount.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Early Tax Statement Pickup Program and to all taxpayers for their continued cooperation. Cartwright-Roblin Municipality
